Warriors back-rower Simon Mannering has won the club's Player of the Year Award for a record fifth time.

The 30-year-old beat out teammates Thomas Leuluai and Shaun Johnson to become the only player in club history to win the premier award more than twice after Steve Price (2006, 2007) and Ben Matulino (2012, 2015).

The Nelson product enjoyed a stand-out season for the side, becoming just the second player after the legendary Stacey Jones to notch over 250 appearances and now sits just four games short of Jones' record of 261.

Mannering played in 22 of the 24 games, finishing with five tries to lift his career tally to 58, fourth on the club's all-time list.

He averaged 77 minutes on the field making an average 11.2 runs, 89.95 metres and 47.36 tackles a game. It’s the second straight season he has topped 1000 tackles.

To round out a big night, Mannering was also named the winner of the Clubman of the Year Award in recognition of his all-round contribution to the club.

In a two horse race with hooker Jazz Tevaga, Nathaniel Roache was named the Warriors Rookie of the Year, while Shaun Johnson received the People's Choice Award.
