Breakers coach Paul Henare expects his side to perform for all four quarters in tonight's showdown with the Adelaide 36ers at Vector Arena in Auckland.

The Breakers have one win and three losses from their first four games - including three in a row - but Henare has been relatively pleased with the how his team is performing for the most part.

"We've played some really good basketball over the last couple of weeks, but only in patches," he said.

The 37-year-old former point guard said that consistency has been the key on the practice court this week as the Breakers seek a complete performance.

"Our main goal for this week is to really try and keep an even keel throughout the entire 40 minutes."

Captain Mika Vukona doesn't concern himself with his sides recent struggles, preferring to focus on the future.

"You don't worry about the losses.

"Our motto here is always for the next game, and right now everyone is focused on playing Adelaide."

The New Zealand side currently sits in sixth place, three games back from co-leaders Sydney Kings and Perth Wildcats.
