Cross-country runners probably aren't used to seeing herds of deer from afar let alone deer that intentionally get within touching distance.
So you can imagine the shock and awe when a cross-country runner was taken out by a deer that was a part of a pack bounding across the field.
The video, taken in Pennsylvania, shows Gwynedd Mercy University runner Justin DeLuzio who gets absolutely pummelled by the animal.
Remarkably, DeLuzio, managed to get to his feet and complete the race.
And you can guarantee he won't forget about his run-in for a while.
