Outspoken Lance Revill has resigned from the WBO-supported Professional Boxing Commission but has said he wants to be a part of Joseph Parker's future in New Zealand.

Revill has come under fire recently for his take on the Parker-Ruiz fight, claiming he thought Ruiz won. The 63-year-old is adamant that it isn't sour grapes towards the fighter he once coached.

"Let me get one thing straight, there's nothing personal between me and Joseph Parker and Duco events," Revill told Radio Live.

"I'm a straight shooter and people just have to accept it. I sat ringside and I scored the fight as I saw it."

However Revill, who is the president of the New Zealand Professional Boxers Association (NZPBA) and an in-ring referee, said that he wants to have significant involvement in any future Joseph Parker fights in New Zealand.

"It comes down to the fact that they appointed three judges that I hadn't heard of and I wasn't given refereeing jobs that night.

"I'll be doing future Parker fights down here and I want to be part of it."

Despite being a judge on the night's first fight as well as a ring official for the Jeff Horn-Ali Funeka fight, Revill also stated he wasn't happy with how the Pacific Boxing Commission (PBC) handled the event in general.

"All the refereeing jobs went to the overseas officials from Canada, from Australia and from Thailand.

"The governing body or whoever that may be, appoints the officials - end of story."
