In the United States it's a tradition to watch the NBA while tucking into Christmas dinner, so should Kiwi fans be missing out?
For many years the Basin Reserve was the home of the Boxing Day Test. But what if fans could sit on the banks for an international or domestic game on Christmas Day?
"We'd be interested in asking the question certainly, if there's interest there," says Cricket Wellington chief executive Peter Clinton. "Christmas means different things to different people, so we'd be about asking the public, if we were to put a game on would you be interested in coming to watch it?"
