The 2017 NBA All Star game turned out to be a real hometown affair as local star Anthony Davis created a slice of history in leading the Western Conference to a 192-182 win in New Orleans.

The Pelicans power-forward dunked his way to the highest individual points haul in All Star history, surpassing the legendary Wilt Chamberlain on his way to 52 points on 26 of 29 field goals and 10 rebounds, earning himself the game's MVP award.

Thunder terror Russell Westbrook was also predictably prominent after being snubbed in the voting for starters, posting a line of 41 points, five rebounds and seven assists.

All Star debutant Giannis Antetokounmpo was the pick of the Eastern side with 30 points on 14 of 17 from the field.
