Controversial sporting icon Brock Lesnar has told the UFC that he will no longer fight inside the octagon.
The former heavyweight champion was suspended last month after testing positive for banned substances in the lead-up to his bout with New Zealander Mark Hunt at UFC 200.
Lesnar was fined US$250,000 and faced a 12-month ban for his indiscretion.
The former NCAA wrestling champion beat Hunt in a unanimous decision, but his failed test has sent Hunt's career into a tailspin after he demanded the company pay him Lesnar's fight purse.
Hunt has yet to step back into the cage, although he does have a fight scheduled in May.
Lesnar meanwhile is now set to focus on his role with the WWE, where he is scheduled to compete at Wrestlemania in March.
The former Minnesota Viking leaves MMA with a five win, three loss and one no-contest record and achieved the remarkable feat of winning a UFC title in his fourth professional fight.
