Kiwi centre Steven Adams played a limited role for the Thunder, as Oklahoma City had their four-match winning streak snapped by the Portland Trail Blazers, losing 114-109 on Friday (NZT).

Adams only played 24 minutes as he was in foul trouble, finishing with two points and six rebounds.

His teammate Russell Westbrook scored 45 points for Oklahoma City, but made only 12 of 36 shots from the field.

The Blazers had six players score in double figures, led by Damian Lillard who scored 33 points, while Jusuf Nurkic collected 18 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and five blocked shots.

Portland led 20-8 in the early stages of the match, but a late run by the Thunder led them to only trail 26-24 at the end of the first quarter.

The Thunder led 60-57 at halftime, after Taj Gibson landed a buzzer-beater from 61 feet out.

The Thunder led 85-81 heading into the final period, but the Blazers went on a 16-0 run late in the match to secure their 25th win of the season.

The Thunder will face the Phoenix Suns tomorrow afternoon (NZT).
