Hundreds of cricket-lovers have banded together to heroically pressure a security guard to give back a beach ball they had earlier thrown onto the pitch.
In hilarious footage from day three of the first Test between England and the West Indies at Edgbaston, dozens of observers gathered on the boundary to urge the steward who'd confiscated the ball to give it back.
The moment was made all the funnier due to the fact those that had congregated at the barrier were all dressed in bizarre and wide-ranging costumes - varying from clergymen to the Flintstones.
More and more of the fans continued to swarm over to the boundary, and chanted at the steward in an attempt to get him to relinquish control of the beach ball, which he'd placed under his seat.
And after a quick discussion with fellow security staff, he finally gave in, launching the ball deep into the crowd to loud cheers - and the amusement of the England cricketers on the field.
England wrapped up the Test with aplomb on day three, beating the West Indies by the enormous margin of an innings and 209 runs.
