The All Blacks once again had to come from behind to win, in their victory over the Pumas 39-22 in New Plymouth last night.
Finding themselves trailing by 22-15 and a man down after Beauden Barrett's yellow card on the 50-minute mark, the All Blacks were made to work hard for the victory once again.
Speaking on facing the recent adversity, halfback TJ Perenara said in such circumstances, it's more the case of players not letting their heads drop, than it is playing better.
"I don't know if losing a man makes us better, I wouldn't say that," Perenara said.
"The example I'll use is Beaudie getting sinbinned, we don't want to use that as an excuse for the rest of the fourteen players out on the field.
"You go down one point at half-time and you come out and you win that game, that's something that I really do enjoy."
While unbeaten, the All Blacks have had a couple of scares in their previous two Rugby Championship games.
Dunedin's thriller saw them erase a 17-point deficit to snatch the win against the Wallabies in the dying minutes.
"It's a game of footy, we've all been in tight games, we've all been in games where the opposition team are playing pretty good and putting us under the pump.
"When you're backed into a corner and the team's playing some pretty good code, and you've got to come out in the second half and play better than them."
While they have no doubt had plenty of match practice being in such circumstances, it certainly is an aspect of the game that the All Blacks train for and welcome.
"It's the beauty of the game. It's something that we, I guess, prep for during the week that sometimes things aren't going to go our way," Perenara said.
"I guess it comes with experience, it comes with being in situations like that before, but it's part of the game I do enjoy."
