Former NRL prodigy Tai Tuivasa has marked his first fight in the UFC with a spectacular first round knockout of American fighter Rashad Coulter at UFC Fight Night 121 in Sydney.
The Australian asserted his dominance early on in the fight, using his large frame to his advantage, and easily pushed of the attempted advances by Coulter.
With just under 40 seconds left in the fight, Tuivasa buckled the left leg of Coulter, who managed to get to his feet, only to be greeted by an incredible flying knee.
The American lost consciousness immediately and was promptly saved by the referee from any possible further damage.
Tuivasa moves to six wins without defeat, all by the way of knockout.
The former Sydney Roosters youngster began his mixed martial arts career in 2012 after quiting rugby league, citing the culture within the game as a main contributor.
