Kiwi Steven Adams struggled for the Oklahoma City Thunder, as they slumped to their third straight defeat, losing 121-108 to the Orlando Magic on Thursday (NZ time).

Behind former slam dunk champion Aaron Gordon, the Magic led for most of the match, as they snapped a nine-game losing streak.

Gordon scored a game-high 40 points for the home side, knocking down six three-pointers and grabbing 15 rebounds.

For the Thunder, Adams finished with six points and three-from-10 shooting, to go with eight rebounds, while Russell Westbrook scored 37 points.

After trailing early, the Thunder managed to claw their way back to lead 75-72 in the third quarter, but then things went downhill, as they went the next five minutes without a field goal and the Magic went on a 28-5 run.

With the loss, the Thunder's record is far from impressive, with eight wins and 12 losses, a quarter way through the season.

It doesn't get much easier either, with the Thunder set to play 13 games in the next 24 days, the next against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday (NZ time).
