UFC star Conor McGregor has surrendered to authorities after his alleged attack on a bus carrying fighters at New Jersey's Barclay's Centre.
According to TMZ Sports, the the Irishmen is set to be charged with two counts of misdemeanour assault and one count of felony criminal mischief.
On the day he was stripped of his UFC lightweight title, McGregor and his entourage turned up at a press conference for Sunday's (NZT) pay-per-view event, headlined by Khabib Nurmagomedov and Max Holloway - who are fighting for the vacant lightweight title.
A video showed the 29-year-old and his entourage allegedly tossing rubbish bins, and attempting to throw metal railing at a bus carrying multiple UFC stars in Brooklyn.
One of those fighters was headliner Nurmagomedov, whose recent confrontation with McGregor's teammate and close friend Artem Lobov is supposed to have been the motivation behind the attack.
UFC President Dana White has consequently pulled Lobov from his preliminary card featherweight fight against Alex Caceres for his role in the melee.
Stray shards of glass from the bus caused cuts to lightweight Michael Chiesa, who was one of the other fighters on-board.The New York State Athletic Commission have since stepped in to cancel his undercard bout against Anthony Pettis this weekend, leaving the 30-year-old "devastated."
Also scrapped from the card as a result of McGregor's antics is Ray Borg's bout against Brandon Moreno, with the flyweight struggling to open his eye as a result of glass damage.
The UFC have since put out a statement on the incident.
"During today's media event at Barclays Centre to promote UFC 223: Khabib vs. Holloway, Conor McGregor and Artem Lobov entered the building accompanied by over a dozen individuals," the statement said.
"The group, which included McGregor and Lobov, vandalized the vehicle that contained a number of athletes competing at the event taking place this weekend. NYPD was immediately alerted and is currently in the process of investigating the situation.
"UFC is working very closely with the New York Athletic Commission, Barclays Centre security and law enforcement authorities. All parties are working together to ensure the highest standard of proper safety precautions are implemented to protect the fans and athletes.
"The organization deems today’s disruption completely unacceptable and is currently working on the consequences that will follow. Immediately, Lobov has been removed from this weekend’s card and individuals involved in the incident are not welcome at tomorrow’s ceremonial weigh-in or Saturday’s event at Barclays Centre."
