After missing the first four games of the season due to injury, Warriors veteran Simon Mannering is keen to get back out onto the field.
The 31-year-old is set to make his first appearance since injuring his shoulder pre-season.
Without Mannering, the Auckland club has won four-straight games against the Rabbitohs, Titans, Raiders and Roosters respectively - a club record.
Speaking to reporters, the New Zealand international said he was impressed with how well the club has started.
"It's cool to be back with the group through this week at training," he said.
"I guess missing out the first four weeks, it made it easier with the way the team performed it didn't put any pressure on myself to get back playing and gave me time to get the injury right.
"I'm really proud of the team, and I'm looking forward to being a part of it now. Hopefully, I play a role moving forward for the rest of the season."
If the former captain plays in every game for the remainder of the regular season, Mannering will become the second Kiwi and first Warrior to play 300 NRL games during the club's round 25 match against Canberra.
Coach Stephen Kearney said it was pleasing to have the 280 game veteran back in the matchday 17.
"Simon is rock solid; it does the lads a world of good to have someone like Simon in the team," he explained.
"He is one of those guys you want alongside you, and when he was going to miss the start of the season, I know everyone was disappointed for him so to have him back now is really pleasing."
Mannering has been named to start off the bench for the match against the Cowboys, and Kearney refused to say then the forward will start from the unbeaten club.
"I anticipate that at some stage will find a start, but you'll have to wait and see.
"He is the clubs most decorated player, so I anticipate he will jump into the starting role whether that is this week or not."
If the Warriors beat the Cowboys on Saturday night, it will be the first time since 2013 that they would have won five-straight games.
