A blockbuster heavyweight unification title fight is at its final hurdle, with American Deontay Wilder agreeing terns to fight Brit Anthony Joshua.
ESPN is reporting the two undefeated champions will square off in the UK later this year, with a guaranteed return fight in the US in 2019 regardless of outcome.
The pair of fights will be for all four major heavyweight titles - WBC, IBF, WBA and WBO.
Wilder's co-manager Shelly Finkel told ESPN that it's now up to Joshua's camp to sign off.
"We have agreed to the terms that [Joshua's promoter] Eddie [Hearn] has put out to us for a fight in the UK. Deontay has accepted his terms to fight in the UK," Finkel said.
"Deontay sent an email to Joshua [Sunday] night, and I sent one [Monday] to Barry Hearn and Eddie telling them that we officially accept the offer to fight under the terms they gave us and to send us the contract."
Finkel confirmed to ESPN that the purse will not be split 50-50, but they are happy with the offer presented to them.
"There's no [percentage] split, but they've offered us a good purse. Not as good as we feel it should be, but we want the fight, and we're willing to take what they offered," Finkel said.
There has been speculation in recent weeks that the Hearns were leaning towards their mandatory WBA challenger Alexander Povetkin, but a double-header with Wilder would be far more lucrative.
WBC champion Wilder addressed Joshua's fans on social media on Tuesday (NZT), writing: "The $50M offer for him to fight me next in the US is still available.
"Today I even agreed to their offer to fight Joshua next in the UK. If he prefers the fight in the UK, the ball is in their court. It's up to them to choose."
