Kiwi NBA star Steven Adams has earned a spot on Forbes' annual list of the world's highest-paid sports stars.
Adams' $US23.5million ($NZ 33.4m) earnings over the past year places him at No. 86 on the famed business publication's rankings - directly above Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, and behind fellow NBA centre DeAndre Jordan.
The list takes into account both contract and endorsement earnings.
The 24-year-old signed a four-year deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder worth $US100m ($NZ142.3m) in 2017.
The first year's pay-out of his sizeable new contract saw him earn almost $US22.5m ($NZ32m), with the remainder of his total earnings made up by sponsorship deals with both Adidas and Coca-Cola brand Powerade.
Basketball is the most well-represented sport on the list, with Adams and his NBA cohorts making up 40 of its placings.
Boxer Floyd Mayweather comes in at the top spot with a total of $US285m ($NZ405.6m), followed by football superstars Lionel Messi with $US111m ($NZ157.9m) and Cristiano Ronaldo's $US108m ($NZ153.7).
