The White Ferns have fallen to a seven-wicket defeat to England in the women's tri-series Twenty20 final at Chelmsford on Monday morning (NZ time).
New Zealand could only muster a total of 137 for nine off their 20 overs, with openers Sophie Devine and Suzie Bates joint top scorers on 31.
But England chased down the total with seven wickets and balls ball remaining, as Danielle Wyatt led the way with a half century.
Promising 17-year-old Amelia Kerr took two late wickets in two balls to put some pressure on the English, but it wasn't meant to be.
After three straight losses to England, New Zealand will now look to regroup, before the two sides face each other in a three-match ODI series, starting on Saturday at Headingley.
