Tall Blacks guard Tai Webster has scored a contract with one of the powerhouses of European basketball.

The 23-year-old is shifting to Turkish club Galatasaray, after an impressive season with the Frankfurt Skyliners in Germany.

Webster's new club has won the local league five times, as well as the Euro Cup in 2016.

But they struggled through their most recent campaign and will likely look for Webster to provide some much-needed offensive spark.

It's deserved reward for the Aucklander, whose per game averages of 14.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in Germany, coupled with some eye-catching performances for the Miami Heat in the NBA Summer League, made him a popular recruitment target.

Before his first professional year in Frankfurt, Webster spent four years as a stand-out for US college Nebraska.
