Trinbago Knight Riders bowler Ali Khan has been left red-faced, after celebrating a wicket that wasn't taken against the St Lucia Stars.
The right-arm quick from the US thought he had taken the wicket of Andre Fletcher in the first match of the Caribbean Premier League, but wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin hadn't caught the ball.
Khan threw his arms out celebrating and kissed the team crest, as he wheeled away to hug Dwayne Bravo, when he realised Ramdin made a mess of the catch.
Ramdin immediately signalled he had spilt the catch, but it took the pair a while to notice his sheepish apologies.
Fortunately for the 27-year-old, he did not have to wait too much longer for a wicket, bowling Fletcher in his next over.
Blackcaps batsman Colin Munro was the man of the match, scoring 68 runs as the two-time champion Knight Riders beat the Stars by 100 runs.
