Kiwi golfer Danny Lee quickly turned to gushing fanboy in the presence of golf movie royalty on Friday (NZ time).
After carding an impressive opening round at the PGA Tour playoffs in New Jersey, a gleeful Lee had the opportunity to meet actor Christopher McDonald - better known as 'Shooter' McGavin from Adam Sandler’s comedy classic Happy Gilmore.
Lee posed for a picture with the American, with both flashing McGavin's trademark pistol celebration.
He couldn’t hold back his excitement at meeting 63-year-old McDonald, who's also appeared in movies like Thelma & Louise and Requiem for a Dream.
"It was the best sponsor value I've ever done!!!" he wrote in a post to Twitter.
The 28-year-old Lee is currently tied for fourth at the tournament with a group of 11 others at four-under, including world number one Dustin Johnson.
