Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid's Luka Modric and Liverpool's Mo Salah have been shortlisted for the men's European Football of the Year award.
Barcelona star Lionel Messi is the obvious exclusion from the list, despite leading his side to another dominant league win in Spain.
Ronaldo, who won the award last year, led Real Madrid to a third consecutive Champions League trophy last season, before joining Juventus in the off-season.
Modric, who was also part of the Champions League-winning Real side, won the best player award at the World Cup, as Croatia finished runners-up overall.
Meanwhile, Salah scored 44 goals for Liverpool across all competitions, as they fell to Real Madrid in the final of the Champions League.
The award will be presented at a ceremony on August 30.
