Ten-year-old Clark Kent - yes, that's his real name - has smashed a 23-year swimming record belonging to the great Michael Phelps.
Nicknamed 'Superman', for obvious reasons, Clark Kent Apuada finished the 100m butterfly at a Californian swimming championship event with a time of 1m 09.38s, more than a second faster than Phelps.
"Most people just call me Clark, but now, when I beat Michael Phelps' record, they started calling me Superman," Kent told CBS.
"I thought to myself, 'yeah, if I had positive thoughts, positive things would happen'."
Clark already has his eye firmly set on the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris - when he will be just 16.
Phelps, who was 15 when he competed at his first Olympics, set the old record in 1995 and has gone on to win 23 gold medals in a career spanning 16 years.
"I love swimming, because I have a lot of people supporting me, and my coaches are always there for me and my parents are always there," Clark said.
Clarke's mother told CBS he was named after Superman, because of his father's love for the superhero.
