The Black Ferns Sevens team have made the perfect start to day one at the World Rugby HSBC Sevens series in Glendale, Colorado.
The Kiwis end day one unbeaten after taking care of China, England and hosts USA to top Pool B on nine Points with plus differential of 89.
In their first game of the day, the Ferns thrashed China 45-0 scoring seven tries, including a hat-trick from star winger Portia Woodman.
Woodman continued her form in the second game scoring another two tries as the Commonwealth and World Champions beat England 28-7, with the other two tries coming from Michaela Blyde and Theresa Fitzpatrick.
In the final match of Pool B, New Zealand beat the USA to cap off an unbeaten start to the new season. Beating them 35-12.
The Ferns will play Ireland in the first cup quarter-final at 5:30am NZT on Monday 22 October.
The other cup quarter-finals include Canada vs Russia, England vs France and Australia vs USA.
