Former All Black Malakai Fekitoa is set for a shock move to the English Premiership, with Wasps set to sign the centre, according to reports.
Fekitoa left New Zealand in 2017 to join Toulon on a two-year deal, but he's in hot demand, with his contract is up at the end of the season.
The Times is reporting that Wasps will sign the 27-year-old to replace Christian Wade, who is reportedly giving up on rugby to chase a career in the NFL.
Wasps said they were unable to comment on the Wade rumours, but they would provide an update in the coming days. It is understood the winger is frustrated, as he continues to be overlooked for the England national side, whom he's played one test for back in 2013.
If Fekitoa leaves France for Wasps, he would link up with former Highlanders teammate Lima Sopoaga and former Hurricanes captain Brad Shields at the Coventry-based side.
Fekitoa has also been linked to fellow English clubs Saracens and the Northampton Saints, where former Hurricanes coach Chris Boyd is based.
The Tongan-born star was a member of the All Blacks 2015 World Cup squad, scoring eight tries in 24 tests for New Zealand, since making his debut in 2014.
Toulon currently sit third from bottom, with just two wins from their seven matches so far.
