Former world number one Caroline Wozniacki is heading back to Auckland, confirming she will play in the 2019 ASB Classic.
The Danish tennis star has played the January tournament five times, losing two finals against Venus Williams in 2015 and Julia Goerges earlier this year.
Wozniacki announced on her Facebook page that she is excited to be heading back to Stanley Street.
"I can't wait to start my 2019 year in one of my favourite cities for the ASB Classic," she wrote.
"Such a fun place to play. Going one better in 2019! See my Kiwi fans soon."
The 28-year-old has one Grand Slam title to her name after winning the 2018 Australian Open.
