Tottenham 3 Chelsea 1

Tottenham have outclassed Chelsea 3-1 to hand new manager Maurizio Sarri his first loss as Chelsea boss.

The home side took the lead in the eighth minute through midfielder Dele Alli. English striker Harry Kane doubled spurs' lead a few minutes later to take a 2-0 lead at the break.

Both teams scored one each in the second half through Heung-min Son and Olivier Giroud to end the game 3-1. The result saw Spurs leapfrog their London rivals into third place, five points behind league leaders Manchester City.

Manchester City 4 West Ham United 0

David Silva, Raheem Sterling and two Leroy Sane goals gave leaders City a 4-0 win over the Hammers, as they remain the pace-setters in the English Premier League.

The result gives Man City their eighth consecutive win under manager Pep Guardiola.

"If you see the result which was 0-4, especially after the international break, it is good - you see Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester United, they struggle," Guardiola told the BBC.

"The players train in a different way, so it is difficult to come back. West Ham have chances and they don't score, we were quite lucky but we will come back to our best."

Watford 0 Liverpool 3

Liverpool produced a superb second-half performance as they won 3-0 at Watford, having been frustrated in the first half.

Salah opened the scoring after 67 minutes, and Alexander-Arnold then fired in a superb free kick nine minutes later to double their lead.

Liverpool were reduced to 10 men in the 82nd minute when midfielder Jordan Henderson was sent off.

"How we closed down the game was just brilliant especially the third goal," Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp said.

Manchester United 0 Crystal Palace 0

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho had suggested his side could crack the top four by the end of the year, but they slipped to seventh after failing to break down Crystal Palace, with both sides having a goal ruled out for offside.

"We did not win one point, we lost two," Mourinho said.

Fulham 3 Southampton 2

Alexander Mitrovic scored twice, including the winner, as Fulham responded to the arrival of manager Claudio Ranieri with a 3-2 win over fellow strugglers Southampton, ending a run of seven straight defeats.

The result lifted Fulham off the bottom, with Huddersfield, who are away to Wolves on Monday (NZ time), dropping to last, while Southampton sit fourth-bottom.

Everton 1 Cardiff City 0

Everton moved above Manchester United into sixth thanks to a 1-0 win over Cardiff, with Gylfi Sigurdsson snatching the winner just after the hour mark.

It was a fairly one-sided affair, with Everton getting the goal they deserved through the Icelandic star.

Brighton & Hove Albion 1  Leicester City 1

Jamie Vardy netted his first goal since September as a 10-man Leicester City secured a 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Brighton thought they were heading for all three points after Glenn Murray put them ahead early in the first half and James Maddison was sent off after 30 minutes.

But Vardy kept his composure from the penalty spot 11 minutes from time to earn Leicester a point.
