History was made at the New Zealand Rugby Awards in Auckland on Thursday.
Black Ferns halfback Kendra Cocksedge became the first woman to ever win the Kel Tremain player of the year award.
The 30-year-old beat out three All Blacks for the prize, after a stellar year guiding the world champions from the back of the scrum.
"Not really, I'm still feeling a bit emotional," Cocksedge said when asked if her win had sunk in.
"It means the world. All that hard work and that blood, sweat, and tears that goes into putting on any type of jersey. When you win awards like this it pays off."
She also won Women's Player of the Year and Provincial Player of the Year, while the Black Ferns Sevens won team of the year to round out a landmark year for women's rugby.
"Every award we get is to try and put women's rugby on the world and national stage and it's important for us to do that," she added.
In the other main awards of the evening, Canterbury lock Luke Romano won the Duane Monkley medal for best men's provincial player and the Crusaders' Richie Mo'unga won Super Rugby Player of the Year.
The champion Crusaders earned the nod for National Team of the Year, and Alama Ieremia - the brains behind provincial kings Auckland – won National Coach of the Year.
All Blacks Sevens coach Clark Laidlaw beat out Steve Hansen for Coach of the Year, and the Black Ferns Sevens added Team of the Year to their massive haul in 2018.
Michaela Blyde and Scott Curry scopped the awards for Black Ferns and All Blacks Sevens Player of the Year respectively, while All Blacks hooker Codie Taylor earned the Tom French Memorial Māori Player of the Year.
