Julia Georges has come from a match-point down to beat Eugenie Bouchard and progess to the semi-final of the ASB Classic, winning 3-6 6-3 7-6.
The defending champion took out the match in two hours and 26 minutes.
Bouchard won the first set 6-3 but the champion fought her way back to claim the victory.
It sets up a semi-final date with Viktória Kužmová after she became the first player through to the 2019 ASB Classic semi-finals after beating teenage sensation Amanda Anisimova.
Kužmová topped the 17-year-old 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 on centre court to book a spot in the final four.
The 20-year-old Kužmová ran through the American in the first frame before losing her composure in the second as Anisimova started to find her range.
An early break for Anisimova in the third-set looked likely to lead her to victory but Kužmová levelled things after six games, before breaking serve to win the match in the 10th game.
Canadian teenager Bianca Andreescu continued her incredible run at the ASB Classic, with a three sets win over Venus Williams on Friday.
The 18-year-old won 11 games in a row on her way to a 6-7 (1-7) 6-1 6-3 win over Williams in a thrilling quarter-final match.
The win comes a day after Andreescu beat top seed Caroline Wozniacki in the second round.
She will face Hsieh Su-Wei in the seim-finals after the Taiwanese star beat Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo 6-3, 6-2.
