Dame Valerie Adams has given birth to her second child at Auckland Hospital.
The two-time Olympic champion has named her baby boy Kepaleli Tava Sydney Adams-Price.
Adams posted a photo on her social media accounts to share the news.
She said the baby was healthy and it was born two weeks early, as the due date was mid-April.
"Welcome to our family and a safer Aotearoa," she said. "A little early - just as keen as mum and just as healthy. Happiest parents in the world."
Adams and husband Gabriel Price announced last October that they were expected their second child, and then two months later, revealed they were expecting a boy.
The pair welcomed their first child - daughter Kimoana - in October 2017.
Dame Valerie, 34, had previously revealed how she and Price had struggled to conceive.
"I think people underestimate just how hard fertility is," she told Kanoa Lloyd on The Project. "I guess some women take it for granted.
"Our wants were there, but nothing was happening."
