The seaside suburb of Sumner has been winding back the clock this weekend.
The town's been hosting a longboard surf competition that evokes memories of the Beach Boys and "hanging ten" in California and has been attracting lots of overseas interest.
85 surfers were invited for the event was designed for participants to create a friendly atmosphere.
