New Zealand shot-putter Tom Walsh has finished second in the opening Diamond League athletics meeting of the season in Doha.
The Kiwi threw a season-best 22.06m to finish 7cm behind Olympic champion and arch-rival Ryan Crouser of the US.
Crouser claimed the victory with a best of 22.13m, while Darlan Romani of Brazil was third.
"It was good to get a season-best, throwing over 22m and getting back over that line," said Walsh.
"But it is frustrating because I think I'm in better shape than that but, I have another four months till world champs to sort things out."
The second shot put meet of the season will take place in Rome in June.
