NZ Warriors prop Agnatius Paasi has re-signed with the NRL club on a three-year deal until the end of the 2022 season.

Paasi has featured in all-but one game for the Warriors this season and coach Stephen Kearney is impressed with how the 27-year-old has grown as a leader on the field.

"Since he's been with us, he's been outstanding," said Kearney.

"He's been part of our emerging leader's group and he's kicked on this year by playing some good footy.

"I think his best footy is in front of him, so it was important we locked him down to keep him part of the playing group."

Paasi made his NRL debut in 2014 for the Warriors, before moving to the Gold Coast Titans for three seasons.

He then returned to Auckland to play for the Warriors in 2018, where his form was rewarded with a call-up to the Kiwis squad, although he didn't play a test for New Zealand.

This season, he's averaging more than 100 metres a game and has scored two tries.

He will play in his 93rd NRL match in Saturday's clash against the Broncos in Brisbane.

The Warriors have three remaining players off-contract at season's end, with hooker Issac Luke, Blake Ayshford and Ligi Sao unassigned for 2020.

Centre Ayshford and prop Sao have both been linked with moves to the English Super League.
