Newshub's Europe correspondent Lloyd Burr was interrupted by rowdy English cricket fans during a Monday morning (NZ time) live cross to The AM Show.
The "overeager" fans were keen to throw their two cents in, as Burr explained what an amazing game the Cricket World Cup final was, despite a heartbreaking loss for the Blackcaps.
"Hey mate, show a bit more dignity, mate," Burr told the fans, as he was interrupted.
Burr hasn't always had the best of luck with sports fans. While covering the FIFA World Cup last year, a drunk Australian man threw beer at his face during a live cross.
But he wasn't about to let these English fans ruin this presentation.
"At least he's not throwing a beer in my face this time," Burr jokes. "Just leave us alone, buddy, thank you."
Burr kept his cool and went on to tell The AM Show about the many special moments in the game.
After the Blackcaps posted 241/8 in their 50 overs, New Zealand-born all-rounder Ben Stokes hit an unbeaten 84 for England, as they reached 241 to force the match into a 'super over'.
In the end, nothing could separate the two teams, with the outcome being decided by England's superior boundary count.
"I spent so much time with my head between my legs, trying to do some breathing exercises, but I can't remember doing that and it was like that for most of the game."
Burr said Blackcaps captain Kane Williamson being named player of the tournament was "incredibly well deserved".
"He was always going to be the leader that he's become.
"For him to be player of the tournament, he absolutely deserves that. He's kept an incredibly cool, calm head.
"Good on ya, Kane."
