UFC welterweight Mike Perry suffered one of the most gruesome broken noses in MMA history at an event in Uruguay on Sunday.
'Platinum' went the distance in a brutal fight with Vicente Luque, losing a razor-close decision to the Brazilian.
Perry and Luque engaged in a 15-minute slugfest, with both sporting battle scars at the final bell, but the state of Perry's nose was unsettling.
The American copped a third-round flying knee from Luque that immediately busted his face open, but it wasn't until medics had wiped the blood from his face that the extent of his injury became clear.
It wasn't all doom and gloom for Perry, after UFC officials awarded the pair US$50,000 for the Fight of the Night prize.
That money will no doubt be well spent at the plastic surgeon in coming days.
