The Tall Blacks' Olympic dream is still a reality, after they secured a 102-101 win over a Turkish side led by NBA player Cedi Osman.

The one-point victory means New Zealand have qualified for a repechage tournament next June, which they must win to get to Tokyo.

Again, New Zealand continued to capture attention with a fast-paced offence, driven by three-point shooting against the much higher-ranked Turkish side.

Centre Rob Loe had his best game of the campaign, adding three rebounds and four assists to his 17 points, including 3/5 from beyond the three-point arc.

Forward Isaac Fotu chimed in with 17 points himself, while young forward Finn Delany showed his potential, with 12 points and seven rebounds.

Tournament top-scorer Corey Webster was shut down by the Turkish defence for large periods, but still managed 12 points and five assists.

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Osman had a game-high 32 points, almost guiding his country to victory.

Tall Blacks coach Paul Henare expressed his immense pride in what he described as a complete team performance.

"Unreal," he said. "I am a little bit lost for words, not just for that result, but in the greater scheme of things, what that says about our programme and what we have done throughout this tournament.

"I am so proud of this team for their fight and the commitment to play the way we want to play. To be able to do it on this stage is just unbelievable.

"I haven’t looked at the box score yet, but I think we had five or six guys in double figures and a couple of others with nine. We literally had everyone step up and play their roles well.

"That has been a strength of our group. Corey and [Fotu] have had great tournaments, but we needed everyone today and I am really happy for them all.

"I am just so proud of the boys. We deserve that finish to the tournament after the earlier close defeats, for all the hard work that everyone has put in, and the time away from our families and supporters back home - it is a great feeling."
