Kiwi para-swimmer Sophie Pascoe's golden weekend has ended in style, with fourth world championships gold medal in London.
On Monday (NZ time), Pascoe triumphed in the S9 50m freestyle event in 27.77s, beating her nearest rival by 1.4s to claim a meet record.
Earlier in the championships, Pascoe won gold in the S9 100m butterfly, freestyle and backstroke.
"I'm extremely ecstatic," she told Newshub. "It's a great way to finish the met with four goals, all inside my personal best times.
"It is exciting to set a championship record in all my swims which is exciting look ahead to Tokyo."
Her four goals complement the two Cameron Leslie won over the weekend, when he set an Oceania record in the S4 50m backstroke and a new world record in the S4 50m freestyle in 37.14s, beating the 15-year-old world record of 37.54s.
