Deja Vu for the Blackcaps as they have lost in another 'super over' against England, this time in their T20 series decider at Eden Park, winning by nine runs.
In the 'super over', England set 17 runs thanks to the bats of Eoin Morgan and Jonny Bairstow.
The Blackcaps surprisingly sent out Tim Seifert alongside Martin Guptill, which didn't pay off, Seifert only managing six runs in his four balls as he was dismissed by Chris Jordan - handing England the fifth T20 and the series, 3-2.
After England chased down 146 in their rain-reduced T20 decider at Eden Park the two countries were forced to settle the series with one over each.
Earlier, the T20 was reduced an 11 over aside match after rain ruined the opening two hours of the match.
Martin Guptill and Colin Munro got the hosts off to a flier, hitting the ball to all parts of Eden Park, bringing up 55 runs after the three over powerplay.
Guptill entertained the crowd that had braved the conditions to watch him put on a show for 50 runs off 20 balls in an innings which saw five sixes and three fours.
Munro fell four runs short of his 50, dismissed by Sam Curran for 46 off 20 balls.
Seifert caught fire later on in the innings with an exciting 39 off 15 to help the Blackcaps to 146/4 off their 11 overs.
In reply, England lost two quick wickets thanks to the ever-reliable Trent Boult and Tim Southee who got rid of Tom Banton (7) and James Vince (1).
England captain Eoin Morgan hung around for a quick cameo of 17 off seven balls before he skied one to Scott Kuggeleijn.
Bairstow (47) and Chris Jordan (12 no) stuck around to make sure the game would be decided in a 'super over.'
From there, it was Bairstow (8) and Morgan (9) who won the match for their side in the 'super over'.
