All Whites star Sarpreet Singh has made his long-awaited Bundesliga debut for Bayern Munich on Sunday (NZ time).
The 20-year-old came off the bench in the 82nd minute during Bayern's 6-1 win over Werder Bremen - the club All Whites legend Wynton Rufer played for.
Singh is the first New Zealand-born player to play in the Bundesliga since Rufer in 1995.
He replaced Brazilian star Philippe Coutinho, who scored a hat-trick and had two assists in the come-from-behind win.
On the field, Singh had several touches of the ball, but with the result beyond doubt, there were limited opportunities for the Kiwi.
It was also Bayern's first win in three league matches, now fourth in the standings.
Singh signed with the German football giants on a three-year deal in July, after impressing scouts at the 2019 U20 World Cup in Poland.
Singh played pre-season games for the first team against Arsenal, Real Madrid, AC Milan and Tottenham, and was later assigned to the reserve team, which plays in the third tier of German football, scoring four goals and registering six assists.
Bayern have two more matches to play before the Bundesliga breaks for a month - against SC Freiburg on Thursday, then home against Wolfsburg on Sunday.
