The Black Ferns Sevens have history in their sights, after winning last weekend's Cape Town world series leg.
On Wednesday, the team arrived home to begin preparing for their most important tournament yet - Hamilton.
"This time, it's an official world series tournament and world series stop," said captain Tyla Nathan-Wong. "And it means so much to us… we can't wait to play in front of our friends and family."
With the likes of Ruby Tui and Stacey Waaka in form, the Ferns are gathering serious momentum.
The squad's building in depth and key players - including Sarah Hirini and Portia Woodman - are set to return in the new year.
After experiencing the home crowd in a Fast Four competition last year, the Ferns are eager to get onto Waikato Stadium again... this time, playing for a world series medal.
