Auckland and Wellington have landed two tests each in the All Blacks' confirmed 2020 home schedule.
Six encounters will be spread over four venues, with Auckland's Eden Park providing the setting for the season's first test against Wales on July 4 and the last against world champions South Africa on September 5.
The Wales fixture will provide a homecoming for new coach Wayne Pivac, who previously coached Auckland and North Harbour provincial sides.
The second test of the mid-year will see Wales take on New Zealand at Wellington's SKY Stadium on July 11, while Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium appropriately hosts the All Blacks v Scotland seven days later.
Australia and new coach Dave Rennie cross the ditch for a Bledisloe Cup match in Wellington on August 15 - a homecoming for Lower Hutt-born Rennie too.
Hamilton's FMG Stadium will provide the backdrop for Argentina v All Blacks on August 29, with the Springboks in Auckland wrapping up the Rugby Championship programme.
Christchurch has again missed out on international rugby - it last hosted a test in 2016, the All Blacks beating South Africa 41-13.
"Post Rugby World Cup, there is always a degree of the unknown," says NZ Rugby chief rugby officer Nigel Cass. "The All Blacks will have a new head coach and some new players, and I'm sure New Zealanders can't wait to again get behind the team.
"Wales and Australia also have new coaches, and will bring a lot of energy. It's fantastic to have Scotland back in New Zealand, after such a long time.
"Our countries have always had close ties and that's been particularly true of Dunedin, where - no doubt - the region will be ready to roll out the tartan welcome mat."
