Senior Blackcaps bowler Tim Southee is urging his side not to beat themselves up, after back-to-back losses in the first two Twenty20 internationals against India.
They've been less than impressive in the series so far and must win in Hamilton on Wednesday to keep the series alive.
"When there are times like this, when things aren't so easy, guys can't go insular and beat themselves up," said Southee. "They've got to get up and keep trying, and put out a performance worthy of the New Zealand cricket team.
There have been few positives so far this series, although Southee says they can take heart from the 203 runs they scored in the opening match at Eden Park.
"The first game got away from us and we were outplayed in the second."
