An innings of 34 not out from South African all-rounder Chloe Tryon has led her side to a five-wicket T20 win over the White Ferns in Wellington.
Captain Dane van Niekerk (40) got the Proteas close, before Tryon smashed three sixes in her knock, including 11 off the last over to claim the win.
White Ferns skipper Sophie Devine was left scratching her head, after her career-high T20 innings of 77 - her third straight half-century - wasn't enough to get the hosts over the line, as they could only manage 153/5 off their 20 overs.
The visitors chased that target down with one ball left to keep the five-match series alive at 2-1 to the Kiwis. The fourth game is scheduled for Monday, also at the Basin Reserve.
