NBA: Steven Adams hits three-quarter buzzer-beater for Oklahoma City Thunder

Kiwi basketballer Steven Adams has closed the first half against the New Orleans Pelicans in style, nailing a three-quarter, three-point buzzer-beater.

Adams got the ball with just over a second to go, and hoisted a one-handed shot from his side of the half-way line and made his first three-pointer in the NBA.

The Oklahoma City Thunder centre is going up against highly touted NBA rookie Zion Williamson for the first time.

Adams' Thunder went in to win 123-118, the 26-year-old finished the match with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Williamson scored a career-high 32 points, Danilo Gallinari top-scored for the Thunder with 29 points.

The win takes the Thunder's record to 33-22, half a game behind the Dallas Mavericks in seventh spot in the Western Conference.
