All Black Brad Weber will captain the Chiefs for their clash with Japanese side the Sunwolves on Saturday afternoon.
Coach Warren Gatland has made several changes, after a cracking 25-15 win over the Crusaders last week.
Weber starts in place of Te Toiroa Tahurioarangi for the first time in 2020 and gets the skipper's armband in place of Sam Cane, who is being rested.
Gatland has also left Aaron Cruden and Anton Lienert-Brown at home for the trip to Tokyo, but he sees the match as an opportunity for other squad members to prove their worth.
"We have started the season two from two," Gatland said. "To continue this momentum, it is important we rotate our squad.
"We have rested several players this weekend, but this provides an opportunity for those who have been working hard over the pre-season to have some game-time.
"We are coming off the back of two tough games and we are pleased to be where we are, but we know the Sunwolves are a competitive side, who can upset teams.
"They stunned us last year, winning 30-15 in their first overseas win. Our job is to build on what we have achieved so far and continue to show improvement."
Kaleb Trask gets the nod at first-five, with former All Black Adam Thomson set for his Chiefs debut in the loose forwards.
