Dance it out before you battle it out.
That's what Kiwi UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and upcoming opponent Yoel Romero did when they came face to face at their UFC 248 press conference in Houston on Saturday (NZ time).
The two middleweights are set to throw down at UFC 248 on March 8 in Las Vegas, as Adesanya looks to defend his Championship title.
After an expletive-laden press conference, both fighters came face-to-face, and out of nowhere, a dance battle ensued.
Looking to impress his Cuban foe, Adesanya showed off some salsa moves, but Romero tried to go one better by executing a backflip into splits manoeuvre.
Just as Adesanya was getting ready to respond with another round of moves, UFC boss Dana White intervened, as he didn't want to see either fighter injure themselves.
White admitted afterwards he'd "never been part of a stare down like this."
Adesanya's fight with Romero will be the first title defence of his career after winning the 185-pound strap off Robert Whittaker last year in Melbourne.
The 30-year-old flew all the way to America earlier this week and will be back in New Zealand in the coming days to continue preparations for the bout.
