A Wellington Phoenix staff member has tested positive to coronavirus, according to a statement from the club.
The statement says the member of staff is involved with the club's football operations.
"The club is cooperating fully with all the relevant health authorities and is focussed on supporting staff, as well as ensuring that all Government protocols are being closely adhered to." The statement said.
The club also state that all players and staff who had direct contact with the staff member are being monitored for any signs of the virus.
The Phoenix have just returned home from Australia where they had set up base and were hoping to finish out the 2020 A-League season based over there, but returned home when the plug was pulled on the competition.
A Newcastle Jets player has also tested positive for the virus.
