Former Silver Fern Maria Folau and husband Israel are reportedly expecting their first child.
The netballer is in her second trimester of the pregnancy and the couple are expecting a child later this year, insiders told The Daily Telegraph.
Israel Folau's lawyer, George Haros, told The Telegraph he was not in a position to comment on the couple's personal affairs.
The report comes almost a year after Israel Folau made homophobic comments on social media, saying hell awaited homosexuals in a Instagram post, and was sacked by Rugby Australia.
The couple moved to France earlier this year, after Israel Folau signed with French-based Super League side the Catalans Dragons.
The signing was met with protests, but Israel Folau has since become an important member of the Dragons team, whose game this weekend against the Leeds Rhinos has been postponed, due to the coronavirus.
"We were extremely nervous about how today was going to go, but praise God," Maria Folau said, after her husband's debut last month.
"I'm just so blessed that he was out there to play the game that he grew up loving and we're so blessed to have this opportunity to be here in the south of France."
Maria Folau was a member of last year's Silver Ferns World Cup-winning side and retired at the end of last season with 150 appearances for the national side - second only behind Laura Langman.
