The All Blacks Sevens have gone through day one of the Vancouver Sevens unbeaten, with wins over Kenya, Spain and Ireland.

Taking on Kenya in their opening game, the championship leaders made light work of their opponents, scoring five tries to win 24-0. Joe Ravouvou, Vilimoni Koroi, Tone Ng Shiu and Caleb Clarke all crossed the tryline.

They breezed through the next game too - putting Spain to the sword, scoring another five tries.

Clarke and Ravouvou added to their tournament tally and Andrew Knewstubb, Tim Mikkelson and Sam Dickson scored their first for the tournament.

But the Kiwis were pushed in their final match of the day, beating Ireland 33-24.

Akuila Rokolisoa opened the scoring before Liam Turner levelled the score at 7-7.

Ireland took the lead thanks to a try from Jack Kelly, but some slick passing proved too much as Clarke sliced through for his third try of the weekend.

Two quick tries from Jordan Conroy and Kelly put the Irish back in front.

Relentless attack from New Zealand got the breakthrough as Koroi's speed was too much giving them a 26-24 lead, then Amanaki Nicole sealed the nine-point victory.

The All Blacks Sevens will take on Fiji in the quarter-final.
