All Blacks star Beauden Barrett and wife Hannah (formally Laity) have announced they're expecting their first child in September.
Barrett made the announcement on his Instagram page which has been well received.
"We're expanding our bubble," wrote Barrett. "Can't wait to do parenting with you sweets [Hannah]."
Hannah said she can't wait to be a mother.
"Too many fries during lockdown or a bun in the oven?! Can't wait to be a mama and I already know you're going to be the most incredible dad @beaudenbarrett," she wrote on her Instagram page.
The couple got married in January, 2019.
Barrett hasn't played rugby since last year's bronze medal final against Wales.
He was due to make his Blues' Super Rugby debut earlier this month, but the season is currently suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
At this stage, the All Blacks' tests against Wales and Scotland in July are going ahead, but it's increasingly unlikely they will be played.
Earlier this month Barrett's All Blacks teammate Richie Mo'unga and wife Sophie announced they are expecting a baby girl later this year.
