A major sense of relief will flow through NRL headquarters on Tuesday, with news three South Sydney players have tested negative for coronavirus.
Late Monday, the club confirmed that all four, including Latrell Mitchell, had been tested and cleared, after developing symptoms on the weekend.
All 16 NRL teams had gathered in Sydney for biosecurity education sessions, before their return to training on Wednesday, as the competition nears the planned May 28 restart.
Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson was also sent home, after waking up with symptoms, but his club are yet to provide an update on his condition.
Earlier, the NZ Warriors confirmed hooker Nathaniel Roache had tested negative for coronavirus, after not travelling with the team on Sunday.
The Kiwi side left Auckland on Sunday, flying to the New South Wales town of Tamworth on a chartered flight for a two-week quarantine period, but Roache stayed behind, after coming down with a sore throat.
The news of Mitchell's test comes just a week after he broke social-distancing rules by hosting a 12-person camping trip - including fellow NRL star Josh Addo-Carr - in the suburb of Taree.
The pair were handed hefty fines by their clubs, while they also face firearm charges stemming from the incident.
